Mural Making in the Garden

  • Groundswell 540 President Street Brooklyn, NY, 11215 United States (map)

Via our friends at NYC Parks GreenThumb:

Learn the ins and outs of creating a mural at your community garden. Murals and public art not only beautify neighborhoods, but they can deepen community connections and spark public dialogue. We'll hear from artists Brooke Singer (Artist, Professor of New Media at Purchase College, and President of La Casita Verde Community Garden) and Eric Miles (Artist, Program Director with Groundswell), Jennifer Lantzas (Deputy Director of Public Art for NYC Parks), and Lina Montoya (Graphic Artist and Designer). This event is co-hosted with Groundswell, a NYC-based organization which brings together youth, artists, and community organizations to use art as a tool for social change, for a more just and equitable world.

Moderator: Ariana Arancibia, NYC Parks GreenThumb
