City Council swiftly approved the NYC Parks proposal to acquire the garden, marking the end of the Uniform Land Review Process (or ULURP).
The City Planning Commission has voted in favor of a proposal that would allow the Maple Street Community Garden to be acquired by the NYC Department of Parks and Recreation.
Gardeners demonstrated the community's strong support for the garden at a recent City Planning Commission hearing.
The garden has successfully completed a land use review by the NYC Parks Department.
