Compost Drop-off

  • Maple Street Community Garden 237 Maple Street Brooklyn, NY, 11225 United States (map)

We are pleased to announce our compost drop-off will stay open through the winter! Big Reuse, an organization dedicated to reducing the amount of waste that makes its way to NYC landfills, will be picking up our scraps each week, and will process them at their facility in Gowanus.

Food scrap drop-off will be Saturdays only, from 10:30am - 12:30pm during winter, weather permitting.

At this time, we can only accept vegan food scraps, bread, and grains with no animal fats or oils.

Food scraps left outside or inside the garden outside of Saturday’s drop-off window will be put in the trash, which may also attract rodents; please do not do this!

Maple Street Community Garden welcomes donations in support of our volunteer run operation.
